The Eight Designs:

​Authentic Self – This mandala evokes the full bloom of a dahlia or chrysanthemum as seen from above. Layers of petals radiate outward, creating a sense of completeness, growth, and centeredness.

Glory – Combining the trumpet base of a morning glory with the delicate petals of a lily, this mandala celebrates the elegance and vibrancy of floral diversity. The overlapping forms create a rich, layered pattern that draws the eye inward and outward.

Iris – Inspired by the natural shape and texture of irises, this design features six flowers with stems joined at the center, as if dancing in a circle. The graceful curves create a sense of movement and harmony.

Lilac – Different perspectives of the lilac blossom — inside view, side view, and bud — come together in this mandala. The central bloom expands outward, surrounded by buds and blossoms, creating a feeling of gentle unfolding.

Lotus Wheel – An abstract interpretation of the lotus, with a straight-on view in the center and surrounding shapes echoing the curves of the petals. This mandala radiates calm, balance, and spiritual growth.

Primrose – Traditionally a four- or five-petaled flower, this mandala expands to twelve petals, a number recurring in many of my designs. The repetition and symmetry create a sense of rhythm, stability, and quiet delight.

Roses – Created as a tribute to my mother’s beloved rose garden, this mandala intertwines blooms to symbolize love, acceptance, and the enduring connection between mother and child.

Water Vessel – Taking a single petal from a full hydrangea blossom as inspiration, this design magnifies the small components that make up the whole, reminding us of the beauty found in both detail and entirety.
